Dr Vyas Prasad is a senior consultant Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck surgeon. His speciality interests are: Voice & Swallowing Disorders, Paediatric Otolaryngology, Oncology (Thyroid and Salivary Gland Surgery).

He read medicine at Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland. After completing a Masters in Surgical Sciences from Imperial College, University of London, he pursued surgical training in ENT in the Oxford and London Training Programmes, and trained extensively at The Royal Marsden, Royal Free, Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospitals. While in the UK, he also focused considerably on paediatric ENT including head and neck and airway surgery.

After returning to Singapore, he joined Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, where he was lead laryngologist and single-handedly developed and ran the service with a team of speech and language therapists. Here, he specialised in voice and swallowing disorders as well as head and neck surgery performing minimally invasive surgery utilising lasers, sialendoscopy and open oncological procedures for cancers of the head and neck, thyroid and salivary glands.

He is a member of the American Broncho-Esophagological Association, British Laryngological Association, Asia-Pacific Laryngology Association; affiliate of National University Cancer Institute (Singapore), and fellow of American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

He is married with three children. He speaks English, Malay, Mandarin, Hindi, Tamil, French, and Hokkien.

Dr Rebecca Heywood is a British ENT surgeon with over 18 years of experience. She treats all ENT conditions in  adults and children. She specialises in otology, cochlear implants, as well as disorders of the ear, hearing, balance, facial nerve and skull base.

Dr Heywood has worked in public hospitals in the UK, Australia and, since 2015, Singapore. After graduating from the University of Manchester (UK), she pursued postgraduate surgical training in London at world-renowned institutions such as Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, Royal Marsden Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, and Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital. At Ear Science Institute Australia, where Dr Heywood undertook subspecialty  fellowship training, she performed many middle ear, cochlear and other hearing implant and acoustic neuroma operations. 

A key opinion leader in the ear and hearing, Dr Heywood co-founded the hearing implant programmes at Ng Teng fong and Sengkang General Hospitals and has been an expert advisor on the provision of cochlear, middle ear and bone conduction implants. She also volunteers her time and surgical expertise to charitable causes, such as Children’s Surgical Hospital in Cambodia.

Dr Heywood has a strong track record in research. In 2016 she received grant funding to investigate hearing loss and dementia in the ageing population in Singapore. She was also the organising chairman of the inaugural World Hearing Day Research Symposium in 2017.

A mother of two young children, she also enjoys swimming and cooking.

Dr Lin graduated from University of Sheffield (UK) in 1997. He practiced in UK for 2 years before relocating back to Singapore. He has been practicing Family Medicine for nearly 20 years, seeing both local and expatriate patients. He has completed the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine and is a member of the College of Family Physicians in Singapore. He also holds a Masters in Biomedical Science (Australia). Dr Lin is accredited by the Public Guardian as a legally qualified medical practitioner to issue Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) Certificates.

Dr Lin is experienced in various aspects of Family Medicine including health screening, care of chronic conditions, men’s health, paediatrics, travel medicine, minor surgery and treating young children and babies.

Dr Suresh B Babu has been performing vascular and interventional radiology procedures since 1999. Dr Suresh was trained in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology prior to this. Over the years, he has dedicated his practice to providing advanced, minimally invasive treatments, making significant contributions to the field of Interventional Radiology in UK, Canada and Singapore. Dr Suresh is one of the leading specialists in vascular interventions, non vascular interventions, interventional oncology, pain relief in interventional radiology and neurointerventional procedures in the country.

During his medical student days, he was a Gold Medallist in Radiology. After completing his basic medical and residency training, Dr Suresh pursued advanced specialist registrar training in the UK. He earned his CCST (Certification of Completion of Specialist Training) from the Mersey Deanery, Liverpool, England. He later did a prestigious Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada.

From 2005 to 2011, Dr Suresh worked as a Consultant Vascular and Interventional Radiology at City Hospital, Birmingham UK where he was instrumental in establishing advanced interventional radiology services. During this time, he was also Inspecting Hospitals with Care Quality Commission, in Management as a Deputy Divisional Director, trainer as a Clinical Tutor with Royal College of Radiologists, and teaching as a Senior Clinical Lecturer with University of Birmingham.

In 2011, he moved to the newly built Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Singapore to establish new and advanced pinhole surgical procedures and trained doctors in the art of pinhole surgery. He also set up IR Clinic to see patients, did ward rounds for complete patient management and did on calls for emergencies 24/7. He has always advocated collaborative working for better patient outcomes.

He was the first IR in Singapore with the European Board Interventional Radiology (EBIR) Qualification in 2011.

Dr Suresh has special expertise in treating complex vascular disorders, venous access, venous disorders, vascular access, EVAR, carotid stenting, prostate artery embolisation, uterine fibroid embolisation and vascular malformations.

Dr Suresh is highly experienced in Trauma Embolisation, Trauma Stenting, Revascularisation Procedures, Other Embolisation, IVC Filter insertion/removal, Dialysis Fistula Management, Dialysis Catheter Management, to mention a few.

Dr Suresh has successfully performed whole gamut of pinhole surgical procedures. He is also highly skilled in performing non-vascular interventions, such as tumour ablation, drainages, biopsies, biliary drainage, nephrostomies, ureteric stenting, and spinal procedures like Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty, Discectomies, Nerve Root Injections etc , using the latest cutting-edge techniques.

He is also well-versed with Neurointerventional procedures. He was instrumental in setting up a unique super speciality called Pain Relief in Interventional Radiology recently.

His focus remains on achieving the best possible clinical results while providing world-class interventional care to each of his patients with dedication and empathy.

Dr Suresh has shared his knowledge internationally, performing and teaching procedures in numerous countries, including the UK, Canada and Singapore.

Dr Suresh has published a book with Springer entitled “Interventional Radiology in Palliative Care” in 2021. He is also widely published in leading peer-reviewed journals, with research that has shaped the field of interventional radiology, earning him recognition as an expert on the international stage. He is currently the Deputy Editor of Clinical Radiology, a journal of Royal College of Radiologists, London.

Dr Suresh’s other interests include Online Health, Medico Legal Reports, Deep Sea Scuba Diving, Skiing (2 fractures so far), Writing and Reading.
